Fire engulfs winery in Marlborough

Fire engulfs winery in Marlborough Firefighters have been battling a large blaze at a commercial winery in Marlborough. Crews were called to a building in Riverlands just after 3am on Sunday, Fire and Emergency said. Southern shift manager Amanda Taylor said the building, a commercial winery processing facility, was well alight on arrival. Thirteen fire trucks were sent to the fire, which escalated to what firefighters call a third alarm. Taylor said the fire was contained and a small number of firefighters remained at the scene, along with a fire investigator.
