Raspberry Pi Launches 10-Inch Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 at $80

The Raspberry Pi Foundation launched today a new, bigger variant of their Raspberry Pi Touch Display, the Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 with a 10-inch display and an $80 USD price tag. Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 is a multi-touch portrait display for Raspberry Pi single-board computers. It is designed to be used for all sorts of interactive projects, such as tablets, entertainment systems, home automation dashboards, robotics interfaces, gaming systems, and information dashboards. Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 was already available in 5-inch and 7-inch variants, and, as of today, you can also get it in a 10-inch variant featuring an IPS TFT true multi-touch capacitive panel that supports ten-finger touch, 24-bit RGB, and a 1200×1920-pixel resolution. The 10-inch Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 panel also features a more generous 85-degree viewing angle and comes with all the necessary cables, connectors, and mounting hardware. However, it is only compatible with Raspberry Pi 5 and the Raspberry Pi Compute Module IO boards. Unfortunately, you cannot use the 10-inch Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 with a Raspberry Pi 4 or any previous models, including the Raspberry Pi Zero series, because the panel requires four DSI lanes instead of two like on the 5-inch and 7-inch variants, and the newer display connector found only on Raspberry Pi 5 and Raspberry Pi CM boards.
